Description

Crocodylomorpha>Neosuchia>Mahajangasuchidae>Kaprosuchus>K.saharicus
Time: Late Cenomanian (~93 million years ago)
Length: 3.3m (10.8ft) based on the size of the skull and in relative Mahajangasuchus.
Height: Around 62cm (2.03ft) at the highest point of the back when standing semi-erect.
Weight: 200-320 kg (0.2-0.3 tonnes/440-700 lbs) based on similarly sized modern alligators.
Habitat: Echkar Formation, Niger, central Africa.
Ecology and hunting habits: Medium-sized amphibious predator. It is not known how heavily Kaprosuchus relied on land or water for sustenance, but forward rather than upward-oriented eyes and a fair amount of binocular vision give away that it was not ambushing prey from the depths, like modern crocodiles, but rather staring them right in the eye (or tail, or leg, or whichever part was most visible).
Diet: Juveniles of multiple theropod dinosaurs, as well as fish and other pseudosuchians like Araripesuchus or young Laganosuchus.
Locomotion: The legs of Kaprosuchus are unknown, but eye placement and dentition indicate that it was at least slightly more terrestrially adapted than modern crocodilians. It's maximum speed was probably similar to today's fastest individuals, around 11 mph (17km/h) on land.
Competition: Rugops and youngsters of Carcharodontosaurus, as a terrestrial predator, and juvenile Spinosaurus as an aquatic one.

Boar Croc. Looks like I'll have to update the Rugops page (it did live in a named formation after all, I just didn't look far enough)...
''TheGamingBeaver probably doesn't like it'' is a reference to his Far Cry Primal gameplay. TGB seems to have a fair amount of problems with boars and one spooky encounter with crocodiles. Boar crocodiles would be twice as bad.
Also, I do not take credit for the skeletal references or silhouettes of any of these animals (I only fill them out with the life reconstruction and complement it with the info sheets).
